We are so grateful and appreciate everyone's concern and love for Mom. I setup this blog so that it would be easy for everyone to stay informed and receive updates. Sometimes it's difficult for us to return phone calls or get back everyone. Please continue to check in here on the blog in the mean time.
Thank you!

  1. Dear "Quadruple J," Barbara, and the Franke Clan,

I ran into my former oncologist from "The Clinic," yesterday. He is a friend of Dr. Icaza, and spoke very highly of him.

Not to make a commercial plug, but it may interest the readers of your blog to know that since his retirement, my oncologist has begun marketing a series of cancer dvds, entitled: "Cancer in Plain English," through his company: Remwes. No dvd for gastric cancer as yet, but there are dvds for lung, breast and colon cancer available.

Please continue to keep us posted on Kerry's progress. Having spent 6 weeks in the hospital in 2008, two of which, were spent on 2E, she couldn't be in better hands. She has an excellent oncoligist, and the nursing staff is really great. We are quite confident in her recovery. Setbacks happen, and my father also suffered from adhesions after his gastric surgery in 2001.

Let us know if there is anything we can do.
