Diagnosis

It's taken us a few days to decompress this news. Apparently the previously removed and treated gastric cancer has made it's re-appearance on or inside of the ovaries. This is not ovarian cancer. Mom is scheduled for a surgical hysterectomy May 11th. Our little Jen's college graduation is May 6th so Mom wanted to enjoy and feel good for this very special day. The soonest surgery date was April 20th so putting it off until May 11th shouldn't make a huge difference. This is Mom's choice as she's becoming acquainted with trying to balance life's events with feeling good enough to do them.
Here we go again...

  1. Dear Kerry and Family,

For whatever it's worth, you may want to consider contacting the Siteman Cancer Center, otherwise known as the Siteman Center for Advanced Medicine. The telephone contact number is: (314) 747-7222. Perhaps, they can offer you an alternative plan. God bless you all.

    Sincerely,

    W., D. and B.T.B.
